1. About these terms
These Terms of Use apply to the Exterior Quote website, calculators, marketplace and public platform features, including booking, customer-portal, messaging, SmartTag and partner/sponsored areas where enabled. Customer Terms apply to the customer enquiry, booking, portal and payment journey and Cleaner Terms apply to businesses using cleaner accounts, Business Manager, Rounds, Website Tools, Messaging, SmartTags or paid services.
2. What Exterior Quote does
Exterior Quote provides software, estimating/matching tools and marketplace facilities. Unless a page clearly says otherwise, the independent cleaner—not Exterior Quote—supplies the cleaning service.
3. Estimates and final prices
Prices shown by Exterior Quote are estimates based on the information you provide. Your selected cleaner will confirm the final price before work begins. Prices may change where the property, access, condition or work required differs from the information entered.
Estimates are calculated using the property and cleaning information supplied by the customer. Incorrect or incomplete information may result in the final price differing from the online estimate.
Any mandatory Exterior Quote charge that applies to a transaction must be shown before the customer commits to pay. A cleaner remains responsible for confirming its own final service price and mandatory charges.
4. Independent cleaners and matching
Cleaning businesses listed on Exterior Quote operate as independent businesses. Where you choose to proceed with a cleaner, the cleaning service is provided by that cleaner and your service agreement is made with them unless we clearly tell you otherwise.
Cleaner availability is not guaranteed. Cleaners shown for your area have indicated that they cover the relevant location or service, but individual availability and willingness to accept a job may vary.
Suitability rules such as service readiness and postcode coverage come before ranking. Paid supplier sponsorships and any paid cleaner placements must be clearly labelled. Sponsorship does not override service suitability or postcode eligibility.
5. Checks and reviews
A cleaner should only be treated as checked for an item where Exterior Quote displays a specific verification statement or badge for that item. Unless stated otherwise, profile information may have been supplied by the cleaner and is not a guarantee of workmanship.
Reviews are governed by the Reviews Policy. Exterior Quote may moderate reviews for authenticity, relevance, privacy, illegality and platform abuse, but does not promise that reviews or checks remove the need for customers to make their own assessment.
6. Payments
Where customer payment functionality is enabled, payment is processed using the payment provider connected for the cleaner. Exterior Quote may initiate or display payment status and transaction references, but does not store full card or bank-account credentials. The cleaning contract remains with the cleaner unless expressly stated otherwise.
7. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the platform, attempt unauthorised access, submit knowingly false information, manipulate reviews, scrape or copy protected content unlawfully, impersonate another person/business, or use personal information for an unlawful purpose.
8. Platform availability
We may change, suspend or withdraw parts of the platform for maintenance, security, legal or operational reasons. We do not promise uninterrupted availability.
9. Liability and legal rights
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability that cannot legally be excluded. Nothing removes statutory consumer rights.
